Technophile WebQuest
Your Role

Your Impressions
WebQuest | Strengths | Weaknesses |
Grow School Greens | Has great internet image usage. Very detailed. | Could have said less and still got the point across. |
Where is My Hero? | The technology used to put this WebQuest together might not have been hard but there were a lot of quality images. | Could have been a little more detail throughout the entire WebQuest. |
Underground Railroad | One of my favorites. I like how everyone has their own little role. | Could have been a little more exciting as for the format of the webquest. Did not have any pictures. |
Ice Cream | Love all the pictures and exciting things jumping out at me when I get on the WebQuest. | On the evaluation I do not like how it is in a table. It is hard to read and kind of boring. |
Ancient Egypt | Had exciting links. | Lacked excitement. |

For Better or Worse
- Which two do you think were the best? Why?
- The two that we thought were the best were the Unraveling the Underground Railroad and Grow School Greens because they both were more detailed and got thier students more involved.
- The two that we thought were the worse were the Kings Park and the We All Scream for Ice Cream because the Kings Park was not realy usually technology. It kind of just said "here is what to look up and good luck". The We Scream for Ice Cream was pretty much teaching a human thing that I feel that everyone knows it a point.
- Best to me would be understanding facts, detailed, and good flow.
- Worst to me would be not getting students very involved, teaching things that are already known, and have poor lack of information and creditability.

Top Ten Video
- This activity shows some similarities to the activities I did in K-12. For example it was in the form of a presentation. In high school it seemed like everything we did was on a presentation.
- Personally my learning style is not grasped in this activity. Granted this is an auditory and a little bit of visual learning and I am more of a hands on learner.
- I am a little surprised that a 4th grade class put this presentation together. As a teacher I would be very interested in teaching this way.
- The video was great and honestly see nothing wrong with this video. It is creditable and very defined.

Blogging
- There are not to many things I actually like about blogging. I personally have more dislikes than likes about blogging. For example I hate how you have to get online and go through sites to get to it and etc.
- By keeping a blog allows someone to not only get something off your chest but it allows you to inform people, aware people, or even amuse people. For a teacher I think blogging keeps them more efficient because blogging is still grammar, spelling, and critical thinking.
- I honestly will not continue this blog after this class. I'm not a huge fan or blogging or typing and frankly I would never think of what to blog if Professor Richter did not assign what to blog.
- Transmedia Navigation.- The ability to follow the flow of information and stories across multiple modalities- I show that I can do this by looking up students stories/blogs and posting comments on them.

Wiki
- Wikipedia is a multilingual, Web-based encyclopedia project, operated by the Wikimedia Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
- There are several people that go through and tweak the information just the slightest bit over and over. Some being anonymous and some not.
- They trust that the public and the workers will tweak out everything.
- Mr. Sanger left Wikipedia, believing that it should give more authority to experts; he has since created another site, Citizendium that does just that.
- Idn
- That Wikipedia is expanding rapidly and wether some people think it is "unsafe" or not, its becoming popular and better every day.
- Instead of reading the information out of a text book and writing notes with a pencil. You can read the pages digitally and write your notes while having the text up looking at it.
- They might not want anything to draw them away from their pages.
- It quickly exposed examples of self-interested editing by prominent businesses and governments around the world.
